11-13 SEPTEMBER 2009: AMBASSADOR MENZIONE’S VISIT TO LADYSMITH

02/09/2009 - The Consul of Italy in Durban is pleased to announce that Ambassador Menzione will visit Ladysmith from 11 - 13 September 2009.
The program includes several meetings amongst which, a visit to the Ingula site where CMC is building a large hydroelectric plant for Eskom. The Ambassador will meet the Italian community resident there; chair a Comites meeting and will bestow the National Orders to Mr. Paolo Cerrai, the Italian correspondent in Ladysmith.
During his stay in Ladysmith, the Ambassador will visit the St. Joseph Mission Church in Besters, when on the 29th March 2008, the late Ambassador Cevese unveiled a plaque in memory of the prisoners of war that built the church.
The Italian community is invited to join in on the Comites meeting that will be held on 13th September at 10 am at the Royal hotel and at the ceremony in honor of Paolo Cerrai.
Ambassador Menzione will be accompanied by the Italian Consul in Durban, Ugo Ciarlatani and by the President of the Comites, Costantino Buccimazza, together with Cav. Paolo Cerrai.
